They started me off with an interview to know where my level was at in Portuguese and they soon there after matched me with the perfect teacher. Steven Mahoney graduated in Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Philosophy and Art History from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Throughout his international career, he has accumulated diversified experiences in hospitality, restaurant management, gastronomy, and as a Sommelier in London.

In Brazil, he founded Real English Online | REO, a language school that has trained numerous entrepreneurs and employees of large Brazilian startups. REO's mission is to provide English and Portuguese language teaching not only through didactic and practical methods but also by offering a truly immersive experience with the presence of native teachers.
